Shout to the homie, @IAMNICKBARZ for hitting me up about his new record "Missing U" ft. @MzNera! Real good listen, production & Nera is nice with the vocals on there too.
Another track by Crucial on a Black Milk beat. This sounds very dope for a rapper his age (never even knew young kats knew who Black Milk even is). Crucial is said to have a dope mixtape coming soon and it will be exclusively found on imflashy.com.
We find ourselves with some new Jaylib today, duo consisting of the late great J Dilla and living legend Madlib, titled Louder (Blast Your Radio Theme). The track was suppose to appear on the never realized second album.
The unofficial title of this album is Dirty Demos Selected by the Loop Digga, a reference to a fire which destroyed some of this album’s master tapes – a story detailed in the CD’s 12-page booklet. The CD cover is by Isabel Samaras, LP illustrations by Gustavo Eandi, and design by Jeff Jank.
The record can be found on a copy of Madlib Medicine Show #11: Low Budger High Fi Music that is available at stonesthrow.
First of all, the good folks at Valholla definitely have a good ear for picking great artists. Phatz, Ramzez and now, Kirby Maurier. With the right marketing and presentation, this trio of artists can really take themselves to new places individually and as a company. Well either way, here’s a new one from their newest artist Kirby Maurier, who actually appeared on Ghostwridah’s album In Love With My Future. This new record is called “You” and is produced by Jackpot. It simply has the makings of a hit record. The right push and….lift-off. Shout to the homie D_Genius for hittin me up about his new Instrumental Mixtape. Check out his work! We def need a beat D, you got my email! Let's work!

This is the first release of any material off my up and coming project entitled “WHATSBADIO the mixtape”. I’ve been under the radar, working and building on this tape, I’m excited to inform the public that I am pushing this project under a very prominent and successful urban couture brand I have been building here in Tucson called, FINALLYMADE. I hope you enjoy this record. “BEST BET” which is produced by our in house producer Loop Analysis.
I just came across this dude Kris Kasanova with these visuals for “Mona” which was done by PHiLLY K. If you dig that smooth, laidback flow hip-hop, look no further.
I am downloading his EP as you watch:
Kris Kasanova – The Long Way Home (EP)
The Brooklyn-spitta Kris finally lets loose his first musical effort, aptly titled The Long Way Home. The entire project is produced by Ibe who has had his hand behind the boards of such greats as Faith Evans, Smoke DZA, Mickey Factz and Keyshia Cole. The project / EP is brought to you by Homeskool, Flight Club NYC and the letter K. Grab it now for free from Homeskool’s Bandcamp page.
Hip-rock/jazz artist and New York native, Outasight continues to provide for a refreshing sound that is generally tough to cram into a unilateral, genre generated box – quite the difficult task amidst today’s over-saturated state of music, in general. So enjoy the sounds of his latest work, “Losing My Mind,” as it will more than likely take you back with the ’90′s feel. And it’s oh so beautiful as it rides out with the horns.
This track is sooo sick (in my opinion). From Ayo’s upcoming project, Colors. The PB&J Solution still gets regular play in my iTunes so I’m definitely looking forward to his next project.
An album standout that was probably also the first song you should have heard in 2011. With the slight Steely Dan sample bringing in those triumphant horns, Yves Saint revels in that euphoric feeling of making it, even when there’s work to be done. It was one of last year’s best releases and if you’re still sleeping on it, I’ll remind you that The Show is available now on iTunes.
I am loving everything Corey G is putting out. If you didn't check out JediSoul The EP
then please DOWNLOAD IT HERE!
TiRon recently released the acapellas for MSTRD (one of my 2010 favorites) so of course I had to make a few remixes. Also, I’m not just posting it because I made it..it’s dope. I promise. -COREY
Thoughts, Just Blaze have been talking about his album that's dropping next month like crazy. Hope it lives up, but this had my head nodding.
The actor/rapper, Saigon just might have something here with his forthcoming album The Greatest Story Never Told, as virtually all of the leaks I’ve checked out thus far have been pretty impressive. With the title track here on our hands, it proves to be the most solid drop from the upcoming project thus far, as I feel should be true in a titled piece. And oh yeah, can’t forget, Just Blaze on the beat. No further words necessary in that regard. The Greatest Story Never Told in stores February 19th. PS. Saigon will indeed make an appearance or two in the upcoming, finale season of Entourage.
You know I am all about the underdog. So I like to give up and coming artists some shine, like Yung Kris. I got a few of his tracks in my email over the holiday and I fig why not give him a spin. Great sample of Anita Baker on this Top Of The World record. Enjoy! Kris keep doing ya thang!
Here is a new record from the young 21 year old emcee from Atlanta, GA, J.Nolan, which is set to drop soon on his upcoming mixtape. The track features an uptempo beat, I see the potential.
Ricky Hil just dropped his latest project I Just Got Outta Rehab back in November with a side A and B and more dope material than you’ll know what to do with, so make sure you go check that out below. Today he dropped “Street Witcha” with production from Cardo.
Rich Hil – I Just Got Outta Rehab (Mixtape)
It’s a shame that the year is 2010, almost 2011 and you can still go to jail for the recreational use of a plant. Just another way for the government to make money sending people to jail and in Rich Hil’s case, rehab. It was only proper that Rich titled his latest project I Just Got Outta Rehab, because that’s exactly what happened. I’m sure he was able to write a whole lot and once he got out, straight to the booth he went. The project features an A & B-side, enough music to keep you listening to Rich Hil for the next week. Spark something up for Rich, hit the download button below and enjoy.
