BC rolled through Brick By Brick last Thursday to catch a dope show from Joenigma. Joey has been down with BC since we met him and it was only right we showed the love back (SD Unity/ Hip Hop Unity). He performed a few choice cuts from his solo LP "The Agony The Ecstasy". And had help from Viva West co-hort Bless. He also had help from Spring Valley's finest, St. Cyr. Shout to Guap Ent. & RME, El Gun Legro, Q Ball Ent. just to name a few for supporting. All-in-all, it was a dope show with a dope turnout. SD unity up! BC UP! (Words by SLICE of BC)

BC Out & About: Guap Ent & RME SD Artist Meet & Greet

 

 

 

A smart man once told me if you are getting GOOD SLEEP, then you are NOT working hard enough. Last night I was lucky enough to get invited to Guap Ent & RME's SD Artist Meet & Greet at Dave & Busters. It was a great collaborative meeting with some of SD's entertainment talents including: Photographers, DJ's, MC's, Singers, Producers, Promoters, Videographers and more. This was a great networking social that Brandon of Guap Ent & RME hosted and their were a gang of SD Unity ideas that was actually tossed around and some things that will help get the San Diego Hip Hop Artist Scene to the next level. Stay tuned for more to come....lets just say a Mixtape will be coming soon! Maybe one in 24 hours...

Blood is thicker than water, so there was no questioning where our allegiance stood when the Raiders came into San Diego to play the Chargers. Oakland's offensive tackle and full-fledged BC family member Khalif Barnes came home yesterday and handled his biz as the Raiders tied on a fresh ass whippin to the Chargers. Yes, we're from SD and yes we rep our city to the fullest, but when it comes to fam, the choice is an easy one to make. I mean, we were bonafide Jaguars supporters a few years ago when our boy was drafted to Jacksonville (it was easy for Peezy, since he's from the Duuuuuuuvaaaaalllll!), so please don't question our alliance to SD... 
Shout out to my pops for letting all the fellas crash the tailgate. The good fade was sponsored by Ciroc and lemonade! The bacon-wrapped scallops were on point. Greedy G and Gangsta Bodee came out. Bodee was fully suited in Raiders garb. I think the nigga's socks was silver and black. Nard observed that you can always discern the new-school Raiders fans from the old-school fans by the head attire. He said new school wear hats, while old school wear beanies. Bodee was rockin a beanie. Shout out to Brian Carlos, QB, LP, B and Nina for coming out! And a Big Shout out to the home girl Jessica Rabbit Townsend for letting us park the whip at the Portofinos. Clutch babydoll! We passed out a few "Keys to the Suite" CDs, witnessed about four beatdowns (at one time they cleared an entire row for fighting) and got Confederate-flag-white-trash wasted!!! Shout out to the Essay's (or is it Eses?) For giving Peezy a pass. Peezy got so drunk that he forgot where his seat was and ended up in an entirely wrong section full of Charger Eses! We had to call from across the stadium to get his attention. When he finally got to his seat he said "The Essays gave me a pass! I almost got my ass whooped!" Hilarious!
After the game we met up with the Big Homie Leef and thanked him for the tickets and a great game. A ball was had by all and blood is thicker than water! (Words of Slice from BC)

 So we pull up to one of our favorite bars in North Park and we got the cabbie bumpin our music, on some G shit!

Fall off into the bar and fun-filled night fueled by chilled Tuaca shots and Bobby Bud Lights. Dom El Gun Legro met up with us later and did what he did, sippin on Brown Bunnies and Tokyo Teas. We came, saw and conquered! Shout out to Julz the bartender and thumbs down to Mikey!

BC Out & About: Groovy Like A Movie shot by HDProFilms...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyone who remotely dabbles in the art of making motion pictures or photography and did not attend last night's Video and DSLR mixer at Groovy Like A Movie studios in Kearny Mesa, needs to reassess their career path.

BC attended the HDProFilm's very first Video and DSLR event and it was awesome! The event was put on by Rob Buchanan & his company HDProFilms (They were responsible for shootin BC's "Something About It" music video). The mixer consisted of a meet and greet, with Pizza and doughnuts (Only two of the most perfect foods ever created by man), a brief introduction and recognition of the sponsors and vendors who participated and then it was off to the demos. The building was full of techies and high-tech devices that we couldn't possibly begin to operate. I can barely operate my camera phone.

One of the coolest things witnessed was the wireless HD body cam. You had to be there to see it in all it's dopeness. The event gave people in the biz the ability to network with other like-minded professionals who like to paint with light. The jargon and high-tech gizmos were way above BC's head, so we just observed from afar with mouths agape at the pros who make us look like super stars with their space-aged equipment. Big shout out to anyone who fully understands the intricate functions of video cameras and how to use them. The true magic isn't on the screen and the subjects being shot. It's in the equipment and it's operators.

And if the meet-up wasn't already legitimate event, they gave away a 7D, a video camera with a $1,700 price tag. Big things, people!

Kudos to Rob Buchanan, Dominique Gilbert, Cesar Andre, Bonnie Yeung, HDProFilms and everyone who made the event possible. It exceeded expectations and hopefully this thing can grow into an annual event.
