If he’s been pretty much hurt to the point where he basically gave up the Rookie of the Year award to Blake Griffin, then why is he not rehabbing instead of trying to prove to Breezy that his Dougie’s the best?

BC Sports: Cam Newton Wins Heisman Trophy

Congrats homie, you deserve it!

Cam Newton, the quarterback for Auburn University, has won the 2010 Heisman Trophy.


Newton beat out worthy adversaries — LaMichael James ofOregon, Andrew Luck of Stanford and Kellen Moore of Boise State — in landslide fashion. He ended with 2,263 points. Luck was the runner-up with 1,079 points and James finished third with 916. Moore amassed 635.


Broken down regionally, Newton won each and every one, including the Far West.


There were 105 ballots that completely omitted Newton’s name, but he was the first place vote on 93 percent of the ballots.


Newton has led Auburn to a 13-0 record and a berth in the BCS Championship game, which will be played Jan. 10 in Glendale, Ariz.


The 6-foot-6 junior from College Park, Ga., led the nation in passer efficiency rating (188.2) and was second in rushing touchdowns (20). He completed 165 of his 246 passes for 2,589 yards and 28 touchdowns against just six interceptions. He ran the ball 242 times for 1,409 yards and the aforementioned 20 scores. He amassed six 100-yard rushing games and two 300-yard passing games.


Newton becomes the third player in Auburn history to win the coveted award, joining Bo Jackson (1985) and Pat Sullivan (1971). Jackson was on-hand for his Silver Anniversary to see Newton crowned. With three, Auburn now only trails Notre Dame (seven), Ohio State (seven), USC (six) and Oklahoma (five) in Heisman Trophy winners.

Blood is thicker than water, so there was no questioning where our allegiance stood when the Raiders came into San Diego to play the Chargers. Oakland's offensive tackle and full-fledged BC family member Khalif Barnes came home yesterday and handled his biz as the Raiders tied on a fresh ass whippin to the Chargers. Yes, we're from SD and yes we rep our city to the fullest, but when it comes to fam, the choice is an easy one to make. I mean, we were bonafide Jaguars supporters a few years ago when our boy was drafted to Jacksonville (it was easy for Peezy, since he's from the Duuuuuuuvaaaaalllll!), so please don't question our alliance to SD... 
Shout out to my pops for letting all the fellas crash the tailgate. The good fade was sponsored by Ciroc and lemonade! The bacon-wrapped scallops were on point. Greedy G and Gangsta Bodee came out. Bodee was fully suited in Raiders garb. I think the nigga's socks was silver and black. Nard observed that you can always discern the new-school Raiders fans from the old-school fans by the head attire. He said new school wear hats, while old school wear beanies. Bodee was rockin a beanie. Shout out to Brian Carlos, QB, LP, B and Nina for coming out! And a Big Shout out to the home girl Jessica Rabbit Townsend for letting us park the whip at the Portofinos. Clutch babydoll! We passed out a few "Keys to the Suite" CDs, witnessed about four beatdowns (at one time they cleared an entire row for fighting) and got Confederate-flag-white-trash wasted!!! Shout out to the Essay's (or is it Eses?) For giving Peezy a pass. Peezy got so drunk that he forgot where his seat was and ended up in an entirely wrong section full of Charger Eses! We had to call from across the stadium to get his attention. When he finally got to his seat he said "The Essays gave me a pass! I almost got my ass whooped!" Hilarious!
After the game we met up with the Big Homie Leef and thanked him for the tickets and a great game. A ball was had by all and blood is thicker than water! (Words of Slice from BC)

This is bad real MJ Bad!

Have you heard? LeBron is returning to Cleveland on December 2. Well, the Cavaliers organization has heard. And they are expecting trouble. So they’ve gone ahead and taken some precautions, like banning anti-LeBron James apparel. We wonder if Dan Gilbert – who has made no bones about what he thinks of LeBron – will be allowed in the building. Just which jerseys will be t-shirts non grata? Well, apparently the organization has done research on the, and we quote, “various crude and offensive James T-shirts in circulation locally, and officials will be stationed at entrances to make sure no fans enter with such shirts or signs that disrespect James or his family members.” So, good luck with that, Cleveland.

But how far will the ban go? Obviously, shirts with curses and ones that say off-color things about James are no-nos. But what about more subtle slights? Are they unwelcome too?
